3 Simple Steps To A GREAT Beard

1. Wash Your Beard

This isn’t rocket science…

Just like you wash your hair in the shower, you need to take a minute to wash your beard. We recommend using beard wash which is developed specifically for your beard.

However, if you don’t have a quality beard wash, your shampoo will work just don’t over do it and be sure to use some extra oil!

Shampoo may strip the natural oils from your beard, leading to dry skin and coarse, unhealthy beard hair.

Avoid using anything too harsh like bar soap or body wash which will leave your face, and beard extremely dry leading to dry and damaged hair follicles.

As for how often, if you're using normal shampoos or soaps, you don't wanna over do it. Every other day or every couple days is probably best.

2. Oil Your Beard

Beard oil is the foundation of a healthy beard and you should be applying it every day!

As soon as I get out of the shower, I towel dry my beard and immediately apply my Beard Oil.

It is critical to apply oil daily to keep the skin underneath your beard moisturized and healthy, especially if you are not using beard wash.

As your beard grows longer, your body’s production of natural oil (sebum) is not enough to moisturize the longer hairs and skin. This leads to beard dandruff (beardruff), itchy and irritated skin and split ends.

All of these can be avoided with daily application of a quality Beard Oil.

When you apply the oil, first go under your beard and apply to your skin, then use the extra to coat the beard itself. We posted a video here to show you first hand.

Also, keep in mind the climate in which you live. If you live in a dry climate you might need more than if you are in a humid environment.

3. Butter Your Beard

After you apply the oil to your skin, we recommend using a beard butter condition and style your beard.

Beard butter is the perfect combination of oil and balm and is the best way (in my opinion) to condition and moisturize your beard!

This 3 step process is the perfect morning routine, it takes about 2 minutes and will dramatically improve the way your beard looks and feels.
