It's a question we get almost every day here at Live Bearded...

"What is the best way to blow dry and straighten my beard?"

A common misconception is that blow drying and straightening your beard is a time-consuming, cumbersome process...

But we're here to tell you that couldn't be further from the truth!

Our guy Dusty walks you through exactly what he does to get his beard to look on point every single morning...

The best part? From start to finish, all you need is about three minutes to get your beard styled and perfected.

Step 1: Beard Wash

This is the most important part of the routine; it washes out the grime from the day before and resets your beard.

Beard wash makes your beard a "blank canvas."

Step 2: Blow Dry

Start from the bottom; this will give your beard some body. Hold the blow dryer a little bit away from your beard so it doesn't flatten your hairs too much.

Step 3: Beard Oil

If you have a bigger beard, anywhere from 7-10 drops is perfect. Beard oil is actually to help moisturize, soften and condition your skin underneath your glorious man mane.

Step 4: Beard Butter

All you need is about a nickel sized amount of Beard Butter. (With our new formula, you don't need to use as much as before!)

Work that in from the top to the bottom; this is going to condition your hairs and tame the flyaways.

Step 5: Finish

Then just go one more round of blow drying your beard; this is just a quick process to lock in the hairs and solidify your shape.

Final Thoughts

Brothers, feel free to shoot us an email if you want customized or specific advice on blow drying or straightening your beard.

And remember these three takeaways:

  • Beard Wash, Beard Oil and Beard Butter is your go-to combo.
  • Work from the bottom up to give your beard extra body.
  • Don't get the blow dryer too close to your beard; otherwise it mats down your beard.
