Beard Grooming Travel Tips

Spencer Bryce |

Whether your beard is long, short, or anywhere in between, it's important to find a beard grooming routine that works for you to get the desired look you're after.

Once you find that routine, you'll want to go through it every morning just as you brush your teeth and put on deodorant.

That means when you travel, you need to pack your beard products to keep your beard looking great while away.

The routine that works best for me is wash, conditioner, oil, and butter every day. This is our Complete Beard Kit and our best seller for good reason.

I, of course, keep mustache wax nearby at all times as well to ensure my handlebar mustache stays in place.

Since a few of our products are not TSA compliant, I wanted to share with you what I do to make sure my beard is well taken care of when I travel, in hopes that it helps you as well.

When I get ready to pack, I breakdown what I take based on the length of time I'll be away.

Long Trips

If I'm taking a trip 2 weeks or so, I personally prefer taking my full kit with me when I travel.

This does mean you'll want to check your bag as the Beard Wash and Beard Conditioner are 8 ounces and are not TSA compliant and will not make it through security.

The advantage here is you'll be able to pack lots of other essentials for your travels that will likely be easier to check through.

Medium Trips

If I'm going on a slightly shorter trip where I don't want to take everything full size, I've found it super helpful to use these 2.5 ounce clear bottles from the local pharmacy store.

I'll squeeze my favorite fragrance into these and it'll give me enough product to get me through a week or longer depending on use.

Going this route will save you some time and money checking your bag so this is a great option!

Plus, if you really don't want to check a bag but need more product, simply grab a few of these empty containers and as long as they're under 3.4 ounces, you're good to check them on!

Short Trips

Often times I find myself going on an overnight or weekend trip, and the last thing I want to do is lug a bunch of stuff with me.

If I'm going on a trip like this, I've found the Sample Pack sleeves to be the perfect solution.

They're so light and easy to travel with it makes it really convenient if you're just going to be gone a couple of days.

Final Thoughts

I knot this stuff isn't rocket science, but I hate hearing stories of guys getting their products snagged at security and wanted to share how I think about my beard grooming routine when traveling.

If you have any questions or need anything at all, don't hesitate to reach out!

Thank you for your support, Live Bearded is nothing without you!

The sample packs are the best for travel! They fit neatly in my dopp bag and throw away the wrap so no fuss no muss.

Also, the beard butter from you tops everything I have ever tried. It keeps beard soft and moist.

I tried the soap but the scent does not last long after it is opened. Keep up the good work

I also used the travel containers for my wash and conditioner but how do you transport the butter?

I have traveled a lot and taken advantage of each of the steps suggested. Once you have been using Live Bearded products, you know life will not be the same without them. Thanks for showing the different steps.

Last time I flew, I took the sample packs and they worked out fantastically. Only wish they were all one scent.

Thanks
