Confidence is a powerful trait that radiates from within, and one of the best ways to boost your confidence is taking care of yourself.

Here at Live Bearded, your beard is an essential part of that, but equally as important is your body and hair.

A head-to-toe grooming routine can do wonders for not only your appearance, but your self-esteem.

In this blog, I’ll share the importance of grooming, focusing on beard care, body maintenance, and hair grooming.

By investing just a few minutes of your day in a proper grooming routine, you’ll not only look your best but also show the world that you value yourself and your well-being.

1. Beard Care

Now we have a TON of content breaking down everything you need to know about growing and grooming a truly impressive beard.

But if you’re watching for the first time, let me break down the basics. Growing a beard is easy, stop shaving. But if you want an impressive beard that gets noticed, you’ll need to take care of it.

You have to keep it clean and moisturized. Wash your beard with a natural beard wash designed for your skin.

Avoid bar soaps and traditional shampoos as they are too harsh for your skin and may cause more harm than good.

Follow with a natural conditioner to lock in needed moisture to keep your beard hairs healthy and growing strong.

Beard oil is designed for your skin, not your beard, so apply daily and massage the oil into the skin for best results.

This will eliminate itch and irritation, and promote better beard growth. Just like your head hair, you want to style and comb your beard.

Use beard butter to control the crazies and get your beard to cooperate. It’ll also help add fullness to your beard.

Comb it into place and always keep a comb nearby as it’s going to get a bit messed up throughout the day.

2. Body Maintenance

Maintaining a well groomed body is just as important as taking care of your facial hair.

Though we could go on for days about fitness and getting your body in shape, let’s focus on the grooming side for now.

I shouldn’t have to tell you, but just in case, make sure you’re showering regularly.

This may seem like common sense but it’s extra important after excessive sweating or taking a dip in any pool or hot tubs.

Chlorine can be a terror on your skin and hair so you want to rinse that off quickly to avoid drying or damaging your skin and beard.

Whether you want to use a body wash or bar soap, that is up to you. Just ensure you are grabbing a natural product so you don’t put harsh chemicals onto your skin that ultimately get absorbed into your body.

Just like you moisturize your beard, you need to moisturize your skin. I recommend applying lotion daily, especially in dry climates, to increase the elasticity of your skin and slow down the aging process.

When it comes to body hair, I’m not going to tell you what to do here. It’s really personal preference on whether you rock the chest hair or trim it down so do what gives you the most confidence.

3. Hair Grooming

As a man, losing your hair is something we all try to avoid like the plague. Unfortunately for most of us, especially us bearded men, as we age many of us start to get a little thin upstairs.

Scalp care is where you can try to combat hair thinning which is why we made that the focus of our Shampoo and Conditioner.

Beyond getting your scalp and hair clean and smelling great, we developed our formulas specifically for men with a focus on scalp health to help aid in hair loss prevention.

It has DHT blocking ingredients to help balance PH levels and included ingredients like biotin, caffeine, and vitamin E to boost hair growth and health.

Now I can’t tell you what specifically do with your hair, but if you have short or medium hair I do recommend to get regular haircuts to keep your appearance consistent and intentional.

Though you’ll catch me wearing hats on most days, I always do my hair for date nights or special occasions to show that I put some effort in.

Invest in high quality hair styling products and ask your barber for style help if you’re struggling to find a style that gives you confidence.

Final Thoughts

Investing time in a head-to-toe grooming routine is more than just maintaining appearances.

It sends a powerful message to the world that you value yourself and take pride in your appearance, and will give you more confidence in any situation.

Remember, when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you do better in all areas of your life.
