Hey brothers, let’s face it - life’s a whirlwind, and in my opinion time is the scarcest commodity we have.

So if you’re like me, you try to optimize your days to be as efficient as possible to free up more time for the most important things.

And while your grooming routine is absolutely important, you want to get through it efficiently.

So in this blog, I’m going to walk you through a 5 minute routine that will have you looking and feeling like a million bucks without sacrificing unnecessary time.

Reduce Shower Time

The first thing I recommend you do to reach this goal is to cut down shower time. In order to make this easier, I recommend taking cold showers.

Not only are cold showers shown to boost energy, focus, mental clarity, mood, recovery, immunity, and more, but I guarantee a cold shower will push you out faster than sitting under a steamy shower, every time.

Of course, you still want to clean and moisturize your hair with a natural shampoo and conditioner, beard with a beard wash and conditioner designed for your face, and scrub your body with either a natural bar soap or body wash

…but you’d be amazed how much time you can cut out if you really try.

If you’ve ever been camping and had to shower out in the cold, you know just how fast you can be if you’re forced to.

Use a Blow Dryer

Once you’re out, one of the best tricks to increase the grooming process is to consider using a blow dryer.

Blow dryers are not only great for giving you a straighter beard style, but a quick flash of some warm air can nearly immediately get the water out of your beard and hair, cutting down on time needed to style.

For me, I shower at the gym and they have blow dryers on the counter which is pretty convenient, so I can do a quick pass to my beard and after about 10 seconds of air I’m ready to apply my beard oil, butter, mustache wax, and comb it into place.

Don't Neglect Your Skin

After the beard is dialed in, grab a couple pumps of your lotion and lather up the body to keep your skins elasticity strong and fighting the aging process.

Slap some deodorant on, and you’re out the door.

Now just so it’s said, I’m not suggesting that I want to speed through every aspect of life.

However, if I can carve out a few extra minutes here and there, allowing more quality time for precious moments, like enjoying a longer dinner with my wife while truly being present, I’m more than willing to breeze through the minor tasks to make that beautiful exchange a part of my daily routine.

Time passes by so quickly, so I challenge you to do an audit of how you spend your time and be as intentional with it as you can.
