What True Courage Looks Like

"If someone had to die, I thought it should be me."

The quote above is from Bridger, a six-year-old Wisconsin boy, after he stood between his younger sister and a vicious, charging dog.

While protecting and shielding his sister, the dog latched onto Bridger's cheek.

Remarkably, as the dog continued to bite his head and face, Bridger kept yelling to his sister to run away. The dog eventually released its grasp, and Bridger quickly caught up with his sister and led her to a safe spot away from the dog.

His sister was unharmed.

Bridger later underwent a two-hour surgery and received over 90 stitches.

Brothers, I wanted to share this with you today because, to be honest, this is one of the most courageous stories I've ever heard.

At just six-years-old, Bridger was willing to die to protect his family.

The world is a tough place right now, and it's important for all of us to remember there is still so much GOOD happening!

The truth is we all have this selfless spirit.

It's just a matter of choosing courage over fear.
