When One Door Closes, Another Opens

"When one door closes, another opens."

A saying we've all heard at sometime in our lives, and one that rings true here at Live Bearded the past couple of weeks.

We recently got the news that our Brother JP is pursuing his dreams to buy some land deep in the woods away from the hustle and bustle. He's taking a leap of faith and following his heart to put his family in a position he never thought possible.

While this news was tough for all of us to hear, we couldn't be more excited for JP and his family to start their next chapter. His love for his family is the only thing stronger than his work ethic, and it's a truly beautiful thing to witness.

It's been so incredible to see his progress as a man and we are forever grateful for the impact he's made on all of us.

As he closes his door with Live Bearded (for now), it's not only opened the door for his new future, but it's opened an opportunity for Dusty to step into the role of Warehouse Manager.

Although JP's shoes are big ones to fill, we have no doubt that Dusty will show up and take care of business as he's done since day one.

As you guys may know, we love hiring from within our community of brothers, and both JP and Dusty both started as customers first. They then got their foot in the door as customer service specialists, and worked their way up by adding value and getting shit done.

I say all this because we had the privilege of hiring another customer yet again to give Dusty some help in the Warehouse, and knew we had a shoe in for the role in our brother Darrel.

Darrel has been a customer of Live Bearded for years now and recently relocated to Arizona from Oregon. He's come by the warehouse on several occasions so we had some time to get to know him better on a personal level.

We all knew he'd be the right guy for the job but couldn't let him know that, so we dragged him through multiple interviews and mock order fulfillment.

We finally decided to share the news with him when Dusty spoke up and said we had to prank him. Being we punked Dusty for his hire, it was only "right" we passed it along to Darrel.

So, we setup a hidden camera and had him take care of an "angry customer" complaining about his order.

We couldn't be more excited to bring on yet another badass guy to our already amazing team.
