Beards Behind The Brand: Chase Winovich
Today we are really excited to share the latest edition of Beards Behind The Brand. In this episode we step onto the football field with Chase Winovich to talk about life as a pro football player and how he approaches life on and off the field.
The Back Story
For the first couple years in the NFL, Chase made the mistake of shaving (rookie move 😜 ) and decided to start growing out the beard this season. That lead to us connecting on social media and we began brainstorming ways we could support each other.
After a few calls, Spence and I jumped on a plane and flew out to Boston to hangout with Chase and his crew and shoot some content. We had an epic day talking about everything from meditation, crypto, traveling and what it's like playing in the NFL.
Chase truly embodies the Do Better mindset and is always looking for ways to learn, grow, and improve. He played college ball at Michigan and started at his freshman year as a linebacker. Then they moved him to tight end, and full back. Then they moved him back to defense as a D-end.
Regardless of where the coaches put him, Chase had one goal, to dominate the position no matter what. Always looking for an edge leading Chase to take ballet classes and Ju-Jitsu classes in the off seasons to work on his mobility, agility, body control and body awareness.
In college he was named First Team All Big 10 and Second Team All-American and was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2019 as the 77th overall pick.
Game Day Beard Routine
When Chase expressed interest in working together, we sent him a Sample Pack so he could try all the products and fragrances and after trying them all, his favorite was the Gunslinger.
