From Beards to Belly Laughs: Nathan Daggett Makes the FINALS of Funniest Comic in the Valley
We’ve always said our team is full of legends. But this time, one of ‘em might walk away officially crowned the funniest man in Phoenix.
Our very own Nathan Daggett - the quick-witted, beard-rockin’, laugh-out-loud genius behind a lot of our best content - just made it into the FINALS of the Funniest Comic in the Valley competition.
Let that sink in... 150 comedians entered. Only 13 remain.
One night. One stage. One winner.
This is the Super Bowl of stand-up in Arizona - and Nathan’s got a mic in his hand with jokes locked and loaded.
Not What He Planned - Exactly What He Needed
A little over 4 years ago, Nathan met comedian Adam Ray, who looked him straight in the eye and said:
“Bro, why aren’t you doing comedy? You were born for this.”
That lit the fuse.
Since then, Nathan’s taken the leap — performing alongside legends like Brad Williams and K Trevor Wilson, even touring Texas to bring laughter to our troops. (Yeah, the man’s not just funny, he’s got heart.)
And while he’s been cracking jokes on stage, he’s also been sharpening his skills behind the scenes - becoming a better storyteller, a sharper writer, and one hell of a creative force here at Live Bearded.
Fighting Darkness With a Punchline
Let’s be real: life can be heavy. The world throws stress, pressure, and chaos at us every day. But for Nathan, stand-up is a way to fight back - to get on stage and give people a break. Even if just for 15 minutes.
It’s about joy.
It’s about connection.
It’s about laughter that sticks with you long after the show is over.
